The
Information Technology used by SADA is intended to play an ever greater role
of enabling innovation of the Supply Chain, by means of two types of investment:
- Development of the Integration of the process within the
Group and in the branches, working via:
- Independent modular systems interconnected by means
of integration architecture that can be customised for each branch.
- Homogenous applications for all business units in
the Group.
- Simplification of protocols for interfacing with our
business partners’ systems.
- Web-based technologies to complete EDI integrations.
- Tracking and Tracing via the Web – Status of
stocks and deliveries.
- Dedicated network for maximum reliability and confidentiality
of communications.
- Development of specialist applications to support the individual
operational areas:
- Homogenous Warehouse Management System for managing
all warehouse operations, with customisation to meet specific needs
(traceability of foodstuffs, handling of activities for processing,
assembly, etc.).
- Radio Frequency integrated with the Warehouse Management
System to provide complete control over flows.
Transportation Management System for programming and maximising the
loading of means of transport.
- Fleet Management integrated with the Transportation
Management System for efficient use of means of transport, with Satellite
Control for the safety of the vehicles themselves and the cargo.
Technological partnership in:
- Hardware and work on the systems.
- ERP applications and Specialist Applications
- Connectivity
SADA’s innovative drive has led to the Group investing
in new technology, for the specific purpose of offering their Clients an evolved
tracking and tracing system.
Currently, the extranet can be used to view the progress status of deliveries
or stocks. The SADA.track pilot project offers a continuous display in real
time of a delivery, integrating:
- GPS/GPRS technology for control over moving stores.
- Satellite anti-theft system integrated 24 hours a day,
7 days a week with the Security Guard Institute Centre.
- Access points for RFID on means of transport.
- Products with high added value (containers, motor vehicles,
complete pallets and special parcels) are labelled using smart labels. For
low added value products a logic is used based in Load Unit or Promotional
Products
